If you expect the favourite for each team's votes to get the chocolates, you've lost your mind. Each year we see someone unexpectedly poll, and often it results in, your teams multi going down by one leg. Here's some of the value that might be worth a couple of dollars to help save the multi heartbreak.

BRISBANE - DAYNE ZORKO $9 (BET365)

Although the Downlow has Jarryd Lyons 3 votes clear of Dayne Zorko on averages, it would not surprise us one bit if Zorko takes out Brisbane’s team votes at the value of $9.

This will be the first true test in Lyons’ career as to whether he can seriously poll on Brownlow Night, while Hugh McCluggage is the other threat – he should improve on his 4 votes from last year, but spending most of his season on the wing might make it tough for Hugh to outpoll Zorko and Lyons.

Although we only have Zorko leading in two of our counts, he has polled previously so the $9 on offer might be a nice saver in case you have Lyons in a teams multi.

COLLINGWOOD - BRODIE GRUNDY $10 (BET365)

One of the Downlow counts has Brodie Grundy on top, and on averages he’s 4 votes off Jordan De Goey on top.

We saw a change in role in the second half of 2021 for De Goey, which should help him poll – but he’ll need it. He’s never finished top-3 in Collingwood’s votes over his career.

Next in line is Taylor Adams – he missed plenty of football this year, and horribly underachieved in last year’s count failing to lead Collingwood’s votes as a short-priced favourite.

Grundy led Collingwood’s votes in 2019, and was top-3 in their votes in 2016, 2018 and 2020. He had some big possession games as a ruckman so if both De Goey and Adams fail to poll to expectation we could see the ruckman take the honours at $10.

GOLD COAST w/o MILLER - HUGH GREENWOOD $6 (LADBROKES - ANY OTHER PLAYER)

Although Downlow has Noah Anderson leading the Suns without Miller, it’s a lot closer than the $1.35 on offer.

Hugh Greenwood was the Suns leading vote getter in 2020 with 11 pipping Matt Rowell, and the Downlow has him just 1.5 votes off Anderson on averages this year. Four of our 17 counts has Greenwood next in line behind and how tight we expect the Gold Coast votes to be after Miller, even a tie will give you $3 for Greenwood.

Touk Miller will poll just about all of Gold Coast's votes - will Hugh be next in line?

ST KILDA w/o STEELE - BRAD CROUCH $3.25 (LADBROKES)

Luke Dunstan is the favourite in this market, but $3.25 on offer for Brad Crouch appears overs in this. 7/17 of our counts has Crouch the next best Saint behind Steele, and on averages he’s 1.5 votes behind Dunstan.

Dunstan has polled 5 career Brownlow votes, and it’s fair to say he’s not the most eye-catching footballer out there. Crouch on the other hand polled 14 votes in 2019, and did manage 26.4 touches per game this year.

Don’t expect Crouch to Steele too many 3-voters from Steele, but is a good chance of taking a few 1s and 2s.

WESTERN BULLDOGS w/o BONT & MACRAE - TOM LIBERATORE $2.60 (BET365)

The Bailey Smith finals hype has made the Western Bulldogs market without Bont and Macrae very appealing.

Libba is next in line in 13 of our 17 counts, 1.24 votes ahead of Smith on averages. 2021 was Libba’s best season since 2013, in which he polled 14 votes finishing equal 19th.

Bazzlenka had a breakout 2020 and polled 7 votes last season, but despite the 20% increase in game time in 2020 he only managed to increase his disposals by 11% meaning his output was technically down year on year.

Libba had some huge clearance games when the Dogs were winning at the start of the season, and should outpoll the rest of the Dogs field.
