How the live tracker work on count night
Before the count, the leaderboard shows projected votes for every contender, round by round — the consensus of all twenty counts.
As each round is read out on Monday 21 September, actual votes replace projected votes.
The board re-sorts live. You see the real tally, the projected finish, and how many votes each contender still has coming.
It runs on your phone, so it sits alongside the broadcast.

Following the live Brownlow count
The 2026 Brownlow Medal count is on Monday 21 September at Crown Palladium, Melbourne. The count runs round by round, 24 rounds in total, and usually takes a little over two hours. If you just want the final result, any news site will have it. If you want to know who is really in front after round 12, who has the softest run home, and whether the leader can hold on, that is what the tracker is for.
