Lachie Neale
He’s out of Nat Fyfe’s shadow at Brisbane, and he’s winning a truckload of footy in a team that continues to chalk up wins. In an upset win over the Giants, Lachie Neale once again gets the three from us with 31 possessions and a goal. Over the last three years Neale has polled in every match where he’s got 30+ touches and a goal, and has firmed with the bookies into $4.
Marcus Bontempelli
The inconsistent Dogs have hit their straps over the last three weeks, which bodes well for Bontempelli in the Brownlow race. Certainly one to capture the umpires attention as a big midfielder, the Bont gets the three from us against the Cats storming him into contention after a quiet round from the favourites. If the Dogs can keep winning, it could be Bont’s year!
Stephen Coniglio
You could make a case that he’s been the best player on the ground the last two weeks, but the Giants lost both games. We’ve given him the two votes against the Bombers, and one in the loss to the Lions. The Giants gun midfielder must be in consideration for the remainder of the season, as Josh Kelly is set to miss the next month. If they can get back on the winner’s list, expect Coniglio to make a run.
