Patrick Dangerfield - $1.75

If you are looking for one of the safest bets of the night then look no further. Dangerfield has finished top 10 in the last 8 years - he just polls. He played a lot more forward this year but still won plenty of games off his own boot. A lock for top 10.

Marcus Bontempelli - $2.25

Like Dangerfield, Bontempelli has proven that he doesn’t need much of the ball in order to poll votes. A player who is very damaging at the right times, his clean skills in the contest at crucial moments of the game always catches the eye of the umpire. Polling 22 votes last season, he is someone who is only about to hit his prime. While he started the season off slow, his last 8 games alone will see him slide into the top 10, averaging 23.75 disposals and just under a goal a game.

Expect the Bont to make a late run when the Bulldogs made their late finals push

Nathan Fyfe - $2.50

A perennial poller. So much so that he leads the entire AFL in average votes/per game, ever. (1.07). Winning the Brownlow medal last year with 33 votes, 17 of those votes came in wins with a staggering 16 votes coming in losses. He’s another guy who played a lot more forward this year but statistics show that it doesn’t matter where he is on the ground, he just polls. Worth the punt.

Luke Parker - $3.00

If you are feeling more adventurous there is real potential that Luke Parker can squeeze into the top 10 here. A breakout year in 2016 saw him amass 26 votes. Which any other year could of seen him win the Brownlow, but Dangerfield’s far superior year saw him take it out with 35 votes. Parker has been the sole contributor in the engine room for Sydney. They didn’t win many games but Parker was prolific in almost all of their games, so if you are to hear Gillon McLachlan start with “Sydney” in his vote calling, expect “L.Parker” to be said quite often on the night.
